Frontend Software Engineer

Who We Are:
At Ocrolus we’re on a mission to fight crime, prevent Medicaid fraud, allow small businesses to get financing and much more! How do we do this you ask? Through automating tedious financial reviews, into a simple to use innovative OCR platform. We combine proprietary OCR transaction identification, with machine learning and crowdsourcing to bolster fraud detection. Our software has been out of beta since January and does something no company has been able to do before. About You:
We’re looking for a Senior Developer who can operate at full stack capacity. We need someone with a strong and successful track record of solving hard problems using out of the box thinking. You’ll be expected to:
- Build elegant solutions to challenges associated with analyzing financial documents
- Improve our OCR technology and use machine learning and other techniques to automate and intelligently default crowd/user tasks
- Deploy new features on our core product and iterate on improvements
- Give and receive constructive code reviews
- Be a strong problem-solver with good communication skills that enjoys a collaborative environment
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Be flexible, a self-starter, and a fast-learner

You should have:
- 3 years of Javascript (or Javascript Family) web development
- Professional React experience
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with functional programming or distributed programming is a big plus
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
- Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt, Gulp.js, Webpack
