Senior Software Engineer (React.js)

We are looking for a great JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.
You will find yourself immersed in a variety of complex JavaScript, ES6, and React coding challenges. Best of all, you will get to own these Solutions and see your hard work pay off as our innovative Products are launched and deployed for happy customers.
We need strong critical thinkers who are willing and able to learn new technologies quickly; therefore our ideal candidate may possess some, all or a combination of the following technologies:
Core Responsibilities:
- ·Developing new user-facing features using React.js
- ·Building reusable components
- ·Create unit testing for each delivered module
- ·Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- ·Comfortable working with new software tools – not afraid of new technology
- ·Attending and participating in all Scrum meetings for the team
- ·Training and mentoring junior staff
- ·Writing automated unit, functional and integration tests as needed
- ·Code reviews within your team
Required Skills:
- ·5+ years of professional working experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
- ·Strong JavaScript knowledge, ES6 to current version preferred (ECMA Script 6 - ES2018)
- ·Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
- ·Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- ·Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
- ·Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- ·Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- ·Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- ·Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN)
- ·General programming chops, we want generalists with one or two strong areas. You should be well rounded and able to learn new technologies fast!
Preferred skills:
- Linux experience
- MySQL knowledge
- Networking knowledge
- Test Driven Development
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
