Engineering Manager

An RS Engineering Manager has a history of being a software tech lead or engineering manager in a software-biased organization. Their past teams were responsive to business change, and powered to deliver at pace. They relish taking ownership of product features and engineering output. Our Technology Leader will have the experience and gravitas to set and share a vision, define the capabilities, accountabilities and the technical competencies of the team to deliver product features aligned to functional domains. 

The RS Engineering Manager advises, guides and inspires a team. They build consensus through reasoned technical debate and occasionally be a sole decision maker.  They have a pragmatic, delivery-focused attitude that wins the respect of colleagues by displaying and evangelising clear technical vision, by promoting ideas generation for solutions to engineering challenges and by experimenting with smarter ways of working.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead all technical design & delivery within the Product domain.


• Manage the technical collaboration across agile teams.


• Own business change flowing into their team.


• Work with other Senior Technologists to define overall technology design.

• Realistic understanding of how domain delivery teams work in a big organiation
