Your Mission 

As a Frontend Software Engineer at SADA, you will be responsible for the following:

• Contribute code on the front-end codebase on a regular cadence as an individual contributor
• Contribute to documenting and developing software
• Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews, and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the frontend team

Expectations

Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date. 

System Thinking - What we build is complex and elements connect to each other in different ways. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills is a must. Additionally, you must be able to see the full picture and drill into details.

 

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent job-related experience with 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (or similar title)

Required Qualifications: 

• 5+ years combined professional experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications
• Strong professional experience using Typescript and REACT
• Good knowledge of data gateways written with Node.js
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with FE developers, UX Designers, and Product Managers
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques
• Unit testing experience and willingness to test developed code
• Comprehension and appreciation for best practices and design patterns as well as an ability to build and recommend these as needed on the front-end

 

Useful Qualifications:

• Familiarity with GraphQL and related libraries
• Experience maintaining and instrumenting CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, etc.
• Familiar with microservice oriented architectures, associated deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) and the pitfalls of distributed systems
• Experience working with geospatial data and concepts such as ESRI/ArcGIS, Google Maps, etc.
