About the Role
We are looking for an experienced lead frontend developer to enhance our passionate and dynamic team. Our vision at AET is to build advanced web-based tools to help businesses and individuals manage retirement accounts, invest in alternative assets like gold or real estate and create products that empower businesses to integrate financial services directly into their products.
In line with American Estate & Trust's strategic growth objectives, we are looking for a lead frontend developer based in the US time zone. This role is critical in our plans to develop a new, sophisticated brokerage platform to better serve our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the architectural design and construction of this platform, thus contributing significantly to the evolution of our product suite.
As a lead frontend developer, you will collaborate closely with our web team and other senior developers. Your responsibilities will involve discussing architectural decisions, enforcing code quality and collaborating with other teams to design and implement functionality affecting our entire system.
We expect you to show product ownership, form opinions and defend your position strongly. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with superb communication skills who thrive in a remote work environment, excited about building excellent products and mentoring others on our team to constantly improve their abilities.
Key Technical Skills
- Proficiency in React/useSWR/Redux
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals and TypeScript knowledge
- Knowledge of Antd UI
- Experience with Styled Components
- Familiarity with testing and formatting tools like Puppeteer, Enzyme, Jest, Prettier
- Experience with PHP8 (REST, Laravel), MySQL, Postman/Newman is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Codebuild, Vercel
