We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Front End Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building critical functionality into the front end of Sedna, including defining overall front end architecture, working on new features to enhance product capabilities, improving performance, working through critical issues and bugs, and coordinating with the rest of the Sedna Front End Engineering Team to build a world class email experience.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and motivated front-end engineer with Typescript and React (and general front end) expertise, who is ready to play a key role in a dedicated and best in class engineering team.
How will your day look?
Work closely with Engineering and Product Leadership to design, build, test, and deploy changes to Sedna’s front-end platform
Effectively implement product features based on design mocks, with a keen focus on performance and accessibility.
Lead the frontend development of crucial UI features
Ensure that components are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, performant, and compatible with mobile devices
Demonstrate an understanding of when and how to conduct tests
Contribute to the working culture of the Sedna Engineering team to foster effective development, operations, integration, and general working practices
Take part in Engineering support activities, including responding to incidents, resolving bug tickets, troubleshooting and identifying functionality problems, and general improvement of the customer experience
What do we need from you?
Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working with React and TypeScript.
Showcase expertise in modern best practices in web development.
Exhibit a deep understanding of the architecture of modern client-side React applications.
Previous experience contributing to and maintaining component libraries and design teams in the development of user-facing applications.
Display the ability to mentor engineers and effectively guide them towards their best work.

Prior production experience utilizing Next.js
Familiarity with monorepos
Previous exposure to handling live data at a large scale
