The Role
As the Front End Engineering Lead, you will have the responsibility of leading a team of world-class front-end engineers in the design and delivery of Flatfile's web-based user interface. Because of the unique nature of our product and customer needs, your team will face exciting technical challenges unseen by most front-end web developers.

Reports to: VP of Engineering
What you'll do:
- Lead front-end development projects, taking ownership of the technical implementation and ensuring successful project delivery that delights and adds value to customers.
- Manage a team of 5+ front-end engineers; develop and maintain a healthy engineering culture.
- Provide technical contribution and oversight to architecture, technical designs, documentation, and code.
- Seek and implement new designs, tools, and methods to improve Flatfile technology.
- Obsessively find new ways to improve the quality of the software, both in functional and non-functional characteristics.
- Manage projects to improve front-end development processes and workflows, optimizing efficiency and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in front-end development, incorporating relevant knowledge into your work.
- Participate with other engineering functional leaders to form and evolve Flatfile engineering direction.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of experience in front-end development, with a focus on React, TypeScript, and Webpack.
- Experience leading complex front-end development projects, demonstrating a track record of successful delivery.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers on best practices for front-end engineering.
- In-depth understanding of front-end architectural patterns, best practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Proven experience using creativity to find elegant solutions to complex technical challenges.

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Flatfile's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado.
Salary: $220,000 - $250,000 annually
Equity: this role is eligible to participate in Flatfile's equity plan
