Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Developer to add to our team.

Quick overview:

  • This position is full-time-remote 
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain required clearance 
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required 
  • Five (5) years’ progressive experience in programming and analysis of complex information systems, application, or operating system software is required
    • Extensive experience with Ruby, React, and Java
    • Familiarity with Formik, ASP.NET, ASP/JSP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

The role:

In this role, we are looking for a Developer to be part of an Agile team that provides modern digital services using development, security and operations (DevSecOps) techniques that embrace cloud based, scalable architecture, immutable infrastructure, automated testing and continuous integration and continuous deployment. 

The person in this role must have experience in all phases of the systems engineering life cycle (SELC), including initial design/analysis through deployment. The ideal candidate has great interpersonal skills and is comfortable and effective acting as a liaison between multiple technology groups and representing groups in large scale meetings. Additionally, the person in this role should have the ability to create and refine prototypes in a rapid development environment.

To succeed in this role, one must have the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users. To succeed as an STS team member, one must be collaborative, a great communicator, have a desire and commitment to life-long learning, and be comfortable working on an Agile team.  

The Developer at STS will:

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts
  • Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts
  • Translate detailed design into computer software
  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product
  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation
  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency
  • Provide technical direction to fellow programmers to ensure program deadlines are met

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline 
  • Five (5) years’ progressive experience in  programming and analysis of complex information systems, application, or operating system software
    • Extensive experience with Ruby, React, Java, Visual Basic, C#, C/C++
    • Familiarity with Formik, XML, ADSO, ASP.NET, ASP/JSP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JCL, and PHP
