Socious is a talent marketplace connecting people to projects with purpose. They do this by helping them contribute to society in an easy, fun way through a purpose-driven community app, AI recommendations, and blockchain-based community currency.

Socious helps like-minded people connect through their website and app to  effortlessly join social impact projects. It supports user to learn new skills and build a portfolio while contributing to a social cause. They offer blockchain-based tokens when you contribute your time to social impact projects. These tokens can be exchanged for socially conscious products within the community. These activities reinforce each other, grow our community, and accelerate social change.

Launched in 2021 they are at the start of their exciting journey and as an early employee you will be pivotal in shaping the direction of the company.

You’ll Be…

• Writing code using a variety of programming languages/frameworks including JavaScript, Typescript, React.js, Next.js, Gatsby.js, etc.
• Reviewing designs created by designers to ensure they are functional and meet usability standards
• Participating in code reviews and testing new features to ensure they are compatible with existing features
• Communicating clearly with other team members with minimal external help.
• Documenting development processes and complying with best practices.

You’ll Need…

? A strong passion for social/environmental impact (previous experience with impact organizations is an asset)

? 5+ years of experience in frontend development especially with Javascript, Typescript,  React.js, Next.js

? Experience building out applications

??? Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is an asset

• Experience with Solidity, Haskell, Plutus, and machine learning is an asset
• Self-motivated and driven to creatively solve problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
