Front End Developer

Description

Impact is looking for an experienced Front End developer who seeks to flourish in our fast-growing Managed Marketing division.

The Front End Developer is responsible for utilizing HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and sometimes PHP to bring the visual elements provided by Impact Networking’s creative team to life. Most of our clients’ sites are built in WordPress, but experience with React is also important as we continue to move forward and update our stack to a more modern solution.

The Front End Developer will take a key role on our team and must have knowledge of all stages of website development. We are looking for someone to collaborate with their teammates to deliver unique and custom websites that push the boundaries of design and development.

Our Managed Marketing Division is split within these core competencies:

• Account Management

• Research & Insights (Strategy, Paid Media) 
• Creative (Design, Copy, Studio Services) 
• Development (Web Design, UX/UI, Development) 
• Production (Multi-Media) 
• Sales (Business Development) 

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with designers and developers in an Agile methodology
• Write code to implement visual elements into various web applications
• Create prototypes, mockups, and staging sites for review and feedback
• Optimize websites and applications to ensure fast loading speeds
• Maintain websites and implement any necessary additions or enhancements
• Identify and troubleshoot various website issues and coding problems
• Collaborate to consistently improve functionality and user-friendliness of the web applications
• Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and any advancements in technology
• Meet deadlines as required

Things We Are Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Understanding of key design principles
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
• Understanding of server-side CSS
• Experience with code versioning tools, Git preferred
• Experience with responsive design and development
• Experience with WordPress
• React experience not required but preferred
• Understanding of SEO principles
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
