Senior Frontend Software Developer

TouchBistro is looking for Senior Frontend Software Developers. Our POS system is evolving and our customers are demanding more product capabilities and more flexibility with the current feature set. As a member of the Technology team, you will have the chance to work on some of our current cloud-backed features to help deliver and iterate on solutions that meet these demands.
Our current stack is built around React and Typescript but if you have worked with other JavaScript frameworks that’s totally fine! We also have some HTML5 and CSS3 that occasionally need some love. “Fix it, Ship it, Own it” is our department mantra that we live by daily. We value shipping quality code that delivers end-to-end functionality, and then iterating and improving on that code using feedback loops from our observability stack.
Your Day-to-Day
- Create features using modern JavaScript frameworks (like React)
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and tooling from the JavaScript community
- Collaborate with your team to solve problems and learn from failures, mentor others, and lead estimation efforts on the team
All About You

- You have expert knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and TypeScript
- You have 5+ years of experience developing production web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React
- Experience with state management libraries in a UI (we use React Context, but Redux, etc. is also great to have)
- You have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, object mutation, and prototypical inheritance
- Demonstrated history of unit testing in a JavaScript context
- Experience working on teams in an agile-scrum environment
- You are comfortable leading technical decision making, mentoring developers and estimating delivery effectively
