Senior Frontend Engineer

At Chipper, we're building the future of student loans. Our platform enables borrowers to discover and enroll in eligible repayment and forgiveness programs and seamlessly chip away debt faster. We believe that every borrower should have access to expert student loan guidance, regardless of employment, income, or credit score.

We're looking for software engineers that are as passionate about helping ease the student loan pandemic as they are about building well-designed, functional code.

Your responsibilities include:

• Work with our product, design and growth teams to create great user experiences
• Own clear, maintainable code and documentation
• Articulate and promote best practices (development, deployment, ideation) in code reviews and discussions

Requirements

• 4+ years experience building great consumer experiences
  • Our stack is React.js, Node.js and Amazon RDS.
• Creative and critical thinker with demonstrated capabilities to quickly resolve complex challenges
• SME on structured, componentized frontend experiences
• Enjoy managing the software development lifecycle, using data to drive continuous improvements, with strong focus on meeting the team’s commitments given changing customer priorities
• Persuasive communication skills with the judgement to be customer facing
• Experience working on a collaborative development team and clear communication skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working through ambiguity
• Team player eager to learn from and mentor others
