In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing visual interfaces to expand our Cloud Analysis platform. Your work will democratize access to our computational solutions and reduce the time it takes for scientists to make discoveries. 10x technology is used by all of the top 100 global research institutions, as ranked by Nature in 2019, and all of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, as ranked by 2019 research and development spend.
You will be working on modern JavaScript applications using React, TypeScript, design systems, Storybook-backed components, and API-driven server interfaces all deployed on AWS. This position will provide you with the opportunity to use modern technology and software development practices in a truly world-changing field.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship production-ready software.
- Create flexible, attractive web components.
- Create pages and workflows in a scientifically-focused SaaS platform.
- Enhance and test modules in React-driven visualization tools.
- Collaborate with designers to iterate and implement visual design systems.
Desired Skills and Background
- 2+ years shipping software.
- Significant experience developing web applications using React.
- Good working knowledge of modern CSS features and JavaScript syntax.
- Familiarity with TypeScript a plus.
- Experience with Node.js and server-side rendering is a plus.
- Experience with web visualization tools (D3, Plotly, regl, three.js) a plus.
- Background in biology and DNA sequencing is not required. Interest in the field is.
10x Genomics is headquartered in Pleasanton, with an office by Embarcadero BART in San Francisco. This is a US time zone remote friendly position.
