We are looking for an experienced engineer to help us rasing our product development. This team is working on a course catalog platform that offers institutions an easy course enrollment flow with related analytics and provides a storefront for monetizing course content.

What you’ll do:

    • Join the team who owns Canvas Catalog: it is a branded marketplace which allows teachers and institutes to share their learning materials with others
    • Write maintainable, testable React code that follows best-practice and conforms modern accessibility standards
    • Work with our UI/UX team to delight users with innovative experiences
    • Help us improving system stability and providing outstanding uptime
    • Learn and use AWS services like EC2, CloudFront, SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS to provide world-class uptime and performance
    • Lead initiatives that drastically improve the quality of the system you work with
    • Provide guidance to other engineers in the latest frontend technologies

What We Look For:

    • Demonstrated excellence in programming, debugging, and architecture — our engineers design, build, and deploy their own code
    • Deep knowledge of JavaScript, including the latest features in ES6
    • Established production experience with React
    • Solid experience in unit testing to ensure application quality
    • Capable communicators who are passionate about product development and user experience
    • Speak English fluently
    • A bias to action, desire for ownership, and love for problem-solving
    • Experience with cloud-hosted, high-traffic applications and any exposure to Java, Spring are welcome
