Front End Developer

SheerID is looking for a motivated and skilled Front End Developer to join our fast-paced agile startup company. We're looking for the next member of our successful and highly-motivated Client Delivery team, to deliver cutting-edge technology to our clients, and participate in decisions which directly impact our future trajectory. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with customers, designing solutions, and developing custom web-applications within a SaaS context. In this role you’ll utilize your HTML/CSS expertise to build custom implementations from provided mockups and put your Javascript/React skills to use by designing and developing technical solutions that meet business specifications. Each implementation is somewhat unique, requiring you to have a sharp eye and keen attention to detail to meet the individual needs of our customers and to ensure that they receive the highest value from our product. You will also provide support to project management, customer success, and pre-sales teams to field technical questions about our product and services. In addition, you may occasionally serve as a technical resource and point of contact on customer calls and for our customers’ engineering teams.   

The ideal candidate has a passion for web-based technologies and has experience working directly with customers and stakeholders to design and develop technical solutions that meet business requirements. They thrive in an agile environment with a highly-collaborative and outgoing team and enjoy actively participating to improve processes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer delivery environment. Mastery of HTML/CSS and strong expertise in JavaScript, with a focus on React application development, is required.

Role Specific Job Duties

    • Design and develop solutions that meet customer implementation requirements 
    • Provide status updates during daily stand-up meetings
    • Attend backlog refinement sessions to triage requests and estimate development work
    • Partner with Project Management by serving as an implementation subject matter expert (SME) and technical point-of-contact in client meetings and email discussions
    • Work closely with our Solutions Team to understand business goals and define technical requirements for our customer implementations
    • Communicate opportunities for automation and UX improvements to our Product Management team
    • Identify gaps and assist in creating and updating the team’s processes, procedures, and internal documentation
    • Participate in code reviews and work with the team to improve internal coding standards
    • Pair-program with team members and mentor junior developers within the team and cross-functionally
    • Troubleshoot severity issues and apply bug fixes to our customer implementations
    • Make style, copy, and configuration changes to new and existing customer email templates and programs
    • Participate in an on-call rotation

Required Skills / Experience

    • 3+ years experience in a Professional Services/Client Delivery environment engaging directly with customers, executive stakeholders, solution architects and extended program teams
    • Experience implementing custom web applications from a provided list of requirements and design mockups
    • Able to bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and customers
    • Excellent autonomous problem-solving ability
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
    • Thrives in a fast-paced, agile, and sometimes ambiguous environment
    • Current with industry web development standards and best practices
    • Has worked in an Agile / Scrum environment
    • Git or other revision control system
    • Proficiency in the following: HTML and CSS; JavaScript; ES5React or similar libraries; Understanding and utilizing REST APIs

    • Jest or similar testing libraries
    • Jenkins or other Continuous Integration environments
    • An understanding of web analytics, affiliate programs, reporting & metrics implementation
