Sr. Front End Software Engineer – React / Node / AWS / MongoDB

Cargomatic is in search of a Front End Software Engineer passionately interested in building highly-scalable, event-driven components for a real-time platform. Do you have experience in enterprise-grade applications with real-world usage? As an Engineer are you active on GitHub and willing to share projects/contributions? Our ideal Senior Engineer is constantly trying out new languages and frameworks outside of work: concurrent environments and other JavaScript platforms. Enjoys building applications that are easy to use and productive for the user community. We've got plenty of room for you to be creative, make an impact, solve impossible problems, and change an industry.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years Software Engineering experience
  • B.S. degree in CS or related experience
  • 3-5 years experience as a Web Developer or Front-end Engineer through a full lifecycle for web-based and mobile applications, from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Strong Expertise in React.js, Node.js, AWS and MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of state management
  • Previously developed RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of browsers, operating systems, and mobile form factors
  • Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing work streams simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability and the desire to learn new technologies in a rapidly evolving field
  • Participate as an active member of the Agile/Scrum process
  • Make technical recommendations related to user experience and capabilities
  • Write technical documentation related to processes and specifications

Preferences:

  • Domain knowledge in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Internationalization and localization
