Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to building product by building front-end applications in React
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
• Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
• Troubleshoot, debug, performance-tune, and optimize a module of code
• Work collaboratively with back-end engineering teams and data science teams to deliver new products
• Help ensure code quality and security by participating in regular code reviews

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or relevant work experience
• 3+ years technical experience in engineering, development, or SDET roles
• Experience in building JavaScript applications with modern client-side structured JS frameworks (React.js preferred, Angular, Node, Vue.js, Ember.js)
• Strong understanding and practical experience of JavaScript, HTML, CSS3 and component driven UI development
• Proven “doer” attitude with ability to self-start and take a project to completion
• Experience interacting and contributing to the design of APIs
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
• Solid foundation and knowledge of data structures
• Desire to help take Pattern to the next level through exploration and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Webpack, Typescript, and modern front-end implementations
• Experience with the software development life cycle, CI/CD, git, and code build pipelines
• Experience working with deployment of single-page applications, caches, and other related concepts
• Familiarity with D3 or Graph/Charting Libraries
• Experience contributing to open sources projects
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails
