About the Department

You'll be a part of the Web Analytics and Browser Insights team.  This team will be working on privacy-first, lightweight, accurate analytics, and tools that let our users understand the performance of their web pages.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play an active part in building the user and technical interfaces, the tools, and the methodologies to retrieve, anonymize, categorize, and explore vast amounts of data at Cloudflare. The Data Insight teams, which you'll be part of, will solve challenges related to Big Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Open Data, Data Visualizations, and Storytelling, to name a few.

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be working with the team and focus on the technology to provide the best UX and interactivity for the products and functionality we'll be releasing. The team will also be doing a fair amount of research and exploring new ideas, where motivation, creativity, and innovative thinking will be essential.

The ideal candidates will have experience working with large-scale applications and a track record of producing great output while working with other teams in the company. 

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience building web applications using libraries like ReactJS, Angular, Ember, and Vue.js
  • Experience in managing application state such as Redux, React Hooks, and MobX
  • Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of responsive design and its implementation
  • Extensive knowledge of data visualization tooling and libraries
  • Good understanding of the mathematics and data manipulation involved
  • Extensive knowledge of the JavaScript/Typescript ecosystem
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Confidence with debugging and performance profiling with browser DevTools
  • Unit/integration testing experience. Knowledge of Cypress, React Testing Library, Mocha/Chai or Enzyme is a plus
  • Experience working with and/or designing GraphQL
  • Design and build RESTful API services using Golang, NodeJS, and Python
  • Experience building/maintaining client side JavaScript SDKs
  • Knowledge of highly available systems on Kubernetes and Docker
