Frontend Developer

Current and Vista Projects are looking for a frontend-focused full-stack developer to join our growing team. CurrentSCM is a business focused SAAS offering focused on Supply Chain and Material Management.

The ideal candidate will be willing to dive into the full-stack, but happy to focus the bulk of their time on frontend activities. We are a tight-knit team that is willing to dive headfirst into challenges to support our teammates and our client base.

Job Location

This is a remote position with an option to work from headquarters in Calgary, Alberta. The Front End Developer is expected to travel to Calgary for quarterly team meetings.

Main Duties and Competencies

Your Duties Will Include

• Develop front-end user interfaces for enterprise SaaS products using Vue.js and other technologies
• Analyze, design, program, compile, debug, support, and modify software, enhancements, add-ons, and integrations for new and existing product offerings
• Evaluate technical needs in relation to proposed solutions
• Develop unit, feature and integration tests using Jest & Laravel Dusk
• Demonstrate sound judgement while still thinking strategically, creatively, and fostering innovation
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced developers and provide constructive criticism to help make the team stronger
• Complete code review and other QA centric activities
• Follow the company's programming guidelines and standards and enforces them amongst other team members
• Work collaboratively with other stakeholders including subject matter experts, back-end engineering, QA and Sales Teams
• Other duties as required.

Requirements 

• Strong working knowledge of progressive JS frameworks (e.g. Vue, React, Angular)
• Strong working knowledge of SASS and CSS
• Strong working knowledge of Git
• Demonstrated experience consuming and interacting with APIs
• Comfort using and developing CLI tools to support development, testing and deployment
• The ability to clearly communicate complex technical subjects to all kinds of stakeholders in different mediums.

 Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience using Laravel Dusk
• Demonstrated experience using JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. MochaJS, Jest)
• Working knowledge of object oriented programming languages (Java, PHP, C++, C#, .NET)
