Job Description 

We are looking for an experienced JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. 

The new platform we created uses a combination of digital replicas of real cities and their respective, accurately modelled populations to enable users to rapidly generate multiple scenarios and measure their impact in minutes. It has been co-created in partnership with some of the world’s biggest automotive manufacturers, fleet managers, transport authorities, infrastructure operators and energy providers.  

Responsibilities 

  • Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using React.js 
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use 
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code 
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers 
  • Estimating the size and difficulty of tasks and providing completion times 
  • Working with the UX designer and product team to help achieve the future design vision

If you have commercial react.js experience and exposure to mapping technologies like Leaflet or Mapbox - we want to hear from you! 

Key Skills: 

  • React.js 
  • Web mapping application tools (Mapbox, Leaflet) 
  • Experience with markup languages  
  • Collaborating with design tools such as Zeplin, Sketch 
  • Broad experience with JavaScript, CSS and jQuery  
  • Working knowledge of best practices for usability, conversion, optimisation, and accessibility 
  • Knowledge of graphics software such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop etc. 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills  
  • Must have very good attention to details. 
  • Must be able to work solo and in a team. 
  • Team player  
  • Good time-management skills
