The Role

Thinkingbox is hiring for a Front End Developer to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, Toronto, or Vancouver. We are looking for a creative developer who has strong current and previous work. We encourage creativity and allow trying new things frequently. We like to challenge ourselves and learn new technology, staying on top of the latest trends. You will join a very close and collaborative team - we will enable you to continually grow and expand your skillset.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for multiple projects and meeting deadlines while working within a collaborative, creative development team
• Producing significant results while maintaining a positive attitude and having fun
• Creative design abilities – professional look & feel
• Support Producers, and other Developers to manage client requirements, communications and balance project schedules
• Research and evaluate a variety of interactive software products
• Contribute to a culture of excellence around the creative use of technology in advertising and marketing

Requirements

• 3+ years relevant experience
• Strong experience creating UIs and executing various creative layouts
• Strong front end web development skills (Javascript / HTML / CSS)
• Experience using CSS pre­processors
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Strong experience with executing, configuring and integrating large complex mixed hardware/software physical activations.
• Experience with CMS’s (Prismic, Contentful, WordPress, etc.)
• Knowledge of popular JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Vue, React, WebGL (Three.js, PlayCanvas), Pixi.js, GSAP, and Vanilla JS
• Knowledge of build systems such as Webpack, Grunt, Gulp
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points

• Development with cross-platform frameworks ie. React Native
• Experience with Web APIs (Google’s APIs, Facebook API, Twitter API)
• Proficient with some server ­side development (Python, Node.js, Elixir, PHP)
