About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help make Twitch's design system, Core UI, come to life in code. As a part of the Core UI Systems team, you will push our design system to the limit and expand it beyond the web and across native platforms and devices and use your knowledge to bridge the gaps between designers and engineers.

The Core UI Systems team builds Core UI, Twitch's React component library and design system, along with the ecosystem of frameworks, tools, documentation, and programs that support the design and engineering community at Twitch in building accessible, and playful experiences. You will report to the Engineering Manager for Core UI Systems.

You Will:

• Build modular, performant, and accessible components and patterns in close collaboration with the Core UI Design team
• Own the infrastructure that Core UI uses to serve customers, deploy code, integrate with products, deliver documentation, and manage change in the codebase
• Create new products and processes that help designers and engineers understand each other

You Have:

• 3+ years of web development experience with knowledge of modern libraries and frameworks (TypeScript + React)
• Familiarity with CSS architecture including pre/post processors and CSS-in-JS, and best practices around responsive layout, accessibility, and animation
• Experience working with design systems and designers or within a product design organization

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with the AWS service ecosystem to support build automation, CI/CD systems, testing, deployment, and authentication
• Experience working in ReactNative or mobile native platforms
