Mediafly is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to help us build our next generation of highly customizable user interfaces for the web using the latest frontend technologies, including TypeScript and React.
About the Role:
•Your primary responsibility will be in coding, but also to be a champion for great UX.
•You will build tools that give non-coder users the ability to create websites that are highly customizable. This will include things like rearranging the layout, drag & drop of UI elements, and customizations such as fonts, colors or graphics.
•You will be responsible for structuring saved data in a way that is expressive, scalable, and repeatable across other platforms.
•You will have ownership over major product features, yet work closely enough with other team members to avoid major “silos of knowledge”
•You will work collaboratively with other designers, software engineers, product managers, and QA to help see features through from idea to release.
•You will provide guidance to mobile engineering teams when it comes to porting your new features to the mobile platforms.
•You will help to mentor more junior engineers around best practices and coding patterns.
About You
You will be very successful in this role if:
•You are a highly motivated coder with at least 5+ years of professional experience
•You have previously developed tools that allow “non-coder” users to create highly customizable websites
•You love solving business problems with code!
•You do your work with passion, not ego.
•You enjoy collaboration, yet are an independent thinker and producer.
•You have expertise you are willing to share with the team, and are open to learning from the expertise of others on the team.
•You have the ability to provide constructive coding and usability feedback.
•You have interest and desire to stay informed of the latest technology and approaches
•You are fluent with frontend frameworks and technologies, such as TypeScript, React and/or Angular/AngularJS. You also have experience with, or interest in, automated testing.
•You have high competency with CSS layout frameworks and techniques such as responsive design patterns
This is a remote work opportunity based in the UK or US.
