We are digitalizing the global freight industry. Want to help us build the application that will change how people book and track shipments? This will be a mix of workflows and alerts, combined with a high volume data across analytics charts with a pixel perfect design.

We are looking for a Sr. Front End engineer to join our team and help us build up our platform.

Our platform aims to provide near real time cargo tracking information to Freight Forwarders and their customers across any mode of transportation (Air, Ocean, Rail, etc.), by aggregating data from sources and presenting it in a modern look and feel.

In this role you will continue building our React-based application, working closely with our product and design teams. From world maps showing cargo position, to command center dashboards and highly interactive charts, you will get your hands on a lot of UI. You will also have the option to reach into the backend of a system built on GraphQL/Postgres and a lot of events processed with AWS Lambdas and Kinesis.

This is a senior engineering role where we expect you to have experience with similar environments and be ready to take ownership of significant product features.

What you'll do

Develop, test and maintain React-based components and assemble them in a beautiful enterprise focused application.
Interact with our product and design teams and providing them with feedback throughout our the design process.
Gather feedback directly from customers to understand how to build the best possible experience.
Own features through and through, from requirements reviews with our product team, implementation, infrastructure evolution all the way to production.
Drive multiple cross functional initiatives and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.

What you'll bring

A set of technical skills that should include:

Experience building large, modular modern javascript applications with all usual technologies associated with this ecosystem around testing, packaging and deployment.
Experience working with GraphQL is a plus
We are building an internal component library around Material UI and StorybookJS. Relevant experience here would be a big plus.
We believe in strong typing, Typescript would be another plus.
