Front-End Engineer

Topia is racing to reimagine the global mobility market’s product experience. We are looking for a front-end engineer to join our team and help our next generation product experience come to life. This role is integral to delivering best-in-class experiences in a market that is hungry for innovation, and will help lay the foundation for Topia’s engineering success in the future.

You will continually ship high quality software products and help us deliver a technically challenging roadmap. You value clean code that is well-written with testability in mind. Ideally every application and API you produce should be lightweight and discrete, meeting a particular end-user concern. You are a lifelong learner with a curious mind in figuring out how things work, and also with a drive for getting things done. You like to provide strong input into the way the code, product and culture are built across the team; driving forward the vision and exceeding our user’s expectations.

A successful software engineer at Topia has a broad set of skills and readiness to dig deep into all aspects of our platform. Your main focus will be working with our front-end applications, but you’ll be part of a cross-functional team delivering products as a whole. You should be familiar with the modern front-end ecosystem, Typescript language and React library; and have experience with writing modular, component based code. We are an agile team working in biweekly sprint release cycles. The engineering team is divided into product verticals. You will be aligned to one of the teams but will gain exposure to all of the products.

We have a very open environment and all ideas and feedback are welcomed. We have plenty of opportunities for this via project kick-off and round table sessions, regular reviews, retrospectives, tech discussions and debates. One of our values is Learn Relentlessly. To help accelerate learning, we frequently hold drop-in sessions, lunch and learns and occasionally you may be working on proof of concepts to bring in new ideas or technologies.
