Tank is a bi-coastal branding, design and experience agency with studios in Somerville, MA and San Francisco, CA. We are a strongly integrated group of researchers, strategists, designers, writers, technologists and organizers, bound together to create new digital experiences, evolve existing brands and empower established brands.

While we are always on the look-out for talented developers of all levels, our Somerville, MA studio is currently seeking an exceptional Web Developer to support our continued growth. Tank’s developers are responsible for collaborating effectively with internal teams, external teams, and the client in order to ensure we create and launch web sites that we can all be proud of.

What you'll do
- Using technologies like React and Gatsby, build web sites and prototypes for some of our largest clients.
- Work with Tank and our clients, advising them on our technical approach.
- Assist the client with implementation and questions.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, other developers, and clients on technical projects.
What you'll offer:
- 3+ years of professional experience working in a related industry including: Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, or Web Design.
- 3+ years working directly with UX and design professionals.
- 3+ years front-end, responsive, web development experience (HTML, JavaScript ES6, CSS)
- 2+ years crafting production-ready code with React.
- 1+ years testing for and mitigating accessibility issues according to the WCAG 2.0, level AA standard (or higher)
- Experience with modern front-end workflow processes and tools (NPM, Webpack, Sass).
- Some experience with CMS driven websites a plus. Drupal or WordPress preferred.
- Love of the command line.
- An good understanding of the web development process including requirements gathering, application design, Git project workflow, quality assurance, a11y, and deployment.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Good experience collaborating with team members.
