Then we are just the team for you! The W3 team at Bonial is in charge of taking care of highly interactive customer-facing components for a product that has millions of monthly active users. We are an extremely collaborative and passionate group, unafraid to voice our opinions and concerns while working closely together to improve our platform and integrating new product features. Our goal is to build high-quality products that not only provide an engaging experience for our users, but also for our engineers during development.
What will I be getting myself into?
We are a high-energy team, always looking to improve our codebase or our user experience. We do have some technical debt to address though, so that is one of our priority focuses of 2021: out with the old and in with the new! You will be helping the team remove old services and replace them with new, up-to-date ones that address all of our current needs and use cases.
Aside from your daily coding, you will also work closely with our Product Owner on discovery and initiative work, supporting other teams with their client-side support requests, sharing your knowledge in the Web Guild and Architecture Board, and overall, pushing for a higher standard of tech within the company.
- Use Node.js, React, Redux, and Typescript to write clean and high-performant code,
- Work with multiple business stakeholders including Product Managers and Design team members,
- Devise ways to measure and to improve our client-side performance,
- Perform code reviews for other team member,
- Improve client-side architecture,
- Collaborate with other brilliant engineers from UFP (User Facing Platforms) Department.
UFP (User Facing Platforms), is the department that works on all things user-facing: web, native apps, notifications, and content delivery APIs. As a B2B2C company, UFP strives to provide the best content and best experiences for our users, while working collaboratively with CFP (Client Facing Platforms) to ensure that our clients are giving our users the best experience possible.

What you should bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a University or University of Applied Science and/or equivalent work experience,
- Comfortable with discussing client-side architecture questions/decisions on a high level,
- Independent, dedicated, and able to deliver production-ready code with minimal guidance,
- Java or other server-side languages are a plus,
- Fluency in English (German is not required)
