Our mission at BUMP is to help people build an identity online through the items they're buying & selling. This is incredibly important because right now shopping online is a 1 player game that's sterile and antisocial.
We're helping people build identities through the items they're shopping for with rich profiles and epic social features like group chat which makes the whole experience 100x better than current alternatives. This is exactly what generation Z are looking for and we're excited to build a marketplace for these guys, starting with streetwear.
Founded in 2016 and with offices in New York & London, we are already backed by leading names in venture capital including Kleiner Perkins and Y Combinator.
Right now, we’re just a mobile app (we launched on Android in August!) but an incredibly popular request from our 300K strong audience is to bring BUMP’s community centric shopping experience to desktop.
We’re looking for an incredibly talented and passionate front-end engineer to completely own BUMP’s web experience from the start - this is a fantastic opportunity to join as the company’s first web engineer and work on a seriously exciting product that will have 10,000s of users from day 1.
You'll be working incredibly closely with our CEO and Director of Engineering to define, own and architect the front end infrastructure of BUMP. This is a uniquely huge level of ownership - we want BUMP Web to be your baby.
We’re a small, nimble team that cares deeply about what we build, how we build it, and the people and the users behind the product. Being one of the first engineers at the company, you will have the opportunity to wear a lot of hats and define the early foundation of BUMP. As you grow and as BUMP grows, you will be able to take future leadership roles and define large aspects of our technology and culture.
We believe in strong equity packages too so we're all fully behind what we're building @ BUMP!
