By the year 2050, the world population will be over 9 billion. To provide for so many, food production needs to increase significantly. At this time over a billion people work in agriculture, half of them are farmers. Our technology helps them scale and feed the world.  

As a full-stack technology company, our engineering challenges range from designing hardware sensors to building a machine learning platform. We have developed a farmers’ assistant that can run a dairy farm more effectively than a human. We call it Ida. You're our Frontend Developer

You will strive to implement and maintain secure , tested application from a front end perspective , frequently liaising with other teams from various disciplines.

• Work with Product, Design, Backend and Data Science teams to scope, build, and launch new customer-facing features
• Write modular, well-tested front-end applications which scale
• Use your knowledge to set best practices for the team
• Use the different design patterns of frontend frameworks
• Build solutions for problems you may not find on Stack Overflow
• Maintain your code and keep complexity under control

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Know the basics: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive web design
• Have a solid understanding of TypeScript, React, Redux and their infrastructure
• Ability to understand and work with complex data structures
• Know the principles of clean code and write documentation
• Have an irresistible urge to keep unit test coverage high
• Feel at home with version control (e.g., Git), code reviews, and CI/CD
• Experience integrating with RESTful API microservices
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Be a critical thinker who can propose solutions and challenge your colleagues by asking the right questions

We have an eclectic mix of technologies and languages in our stack, but we are working on converging towards a unified stack for easier maintenance. Our tech stack spans React in TypeScript, Angular, .NET, Python, Java, and a host of open-source platforms. You will have a say in setting the direction of evolving our technology stack; just come prepared with solid arguments!
