The Role

This role is part of our Tools / Web Engineering Team. This is a small existing team that we are evolving to own all of our FrontEnds/UIs and support tools, both internal and externals. One side of this: those tools / Frontends are used by our customer support people, our engineers, our professional services team, and really most people in the company. Another side is owning anything public on the web that we start doing, partners an users enrollments, dashboards, etc... And lastly building internal tools to help all of our engineers troubleshoot problems quicker.

What You’ll Do

• Be the owner of, and write our Web UIs/Frontends using Next.js and React.
• Active member of our growing tools/Web team which works across the whole company to automate our processes from a UI point of view.
• Help manage and write the frameworks/automation that power our UIs and Front Ends.
• Be the preacher of best practices regarding tools, testings and best practices for UIs and common tools.

What You’ll Need

• Experience with Next.js a very BIG plus
• Experience with monorepos, lerna very good to have
• Familiarity with Babel, Webpack and various bundlers a must.
• Familiarity with building great UIs using React
• Data structures, trees, graphs a very big plus
• A love of startups and owning things 

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in CS or a related engineering field or equivalent work experience
• 3 - 5 years of work experience in React and Node.js.
• 7+ years’ experience and proficiency with Javascript, TypeScript
• Ideally extensive knowledge of node.js, CI/CD, AWS and Kubernetes

Working at Lark 

Lark offers the option to work remotely when both the employee and the job are suited to such an arrangement and when the employee and their manager are in alignment with the work location and working hours. This option is only applicable to U.S. employees. To accommodate all employees, we have identified the “core” period of the day during which all employees are required to work for scheduled meetings, syncs, scrums between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pacific time.
