About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of PipeCandy’s customer-facing applications. The role is a step closer to being a product manager.
Our ideal candidate should be able to blend creativity, product design, and strong front-end technical skills to design products and coordinate their development. You will also be required to constantly analyze the market, competing products, determine/establish customer pains and aspirations, and use these inputs for appropriate product design that will exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with data product and customer success teams to evolve products with customer-facing user interfaces
- Partner with the marketing team to build Commercepedia directory and website pages
- Work with design & backend teams to develop product features and website pages
- Specifically, develop responsive front ends in client-side MVCC frameworks like AngularJS or ReactJS
- Implement UI development principles to ensure that the product client-side serves at scale
- Test and debug to ensure flawless functionality and performance of the design
- Implement best practices and patterns in design, development, deployment, and testing
- Measure product adoption and co-own the initiatives related to the improvement of the metrics along with the product owners and marketing team
Techno-Functional Expertise Required:
- Familiar with UI layouts, SASS, Bootstrap, and Responsive Web Design (RWD)
- Sound knowledge in HTML and CSS
- Good understanding of overall web design including usability, accessibility, architecture, and navigation
- Ability to architect and develop scalable, cloud-native applications that are cross-browser compatible
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical requirements by planning, developing, and refining
- WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE) using HMTL5
- Experience with software engineering best practices and familiarity with project management tools like Jira
- Hands-on experience as a web developer, UI developer, JavaScript expert, or front-end engineer

- Ability to strategize, prioritize and execute product/website front-end initiatives
- Keen sense of usability and visual aesthetics
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative environments
- Ability to optimize time and effort, especially in a multi-product, multi-project work environment
