Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.

The cloud infrastructure team powers these marquee products by helping Atlassian build and run cloud services at scale. We are deeply invested into continuously improving our developer experience for building and maintaining highly reliable products & services on the cloud. We are focused on building paved roads, tools for performance & resilience engineering, interactive Ux like single pane of glass views to constantly improve and raise our reliability goals.
To help Atlassian build and run cloud services at scale
We’ve seen large amounts of passion around improving the developer experience for building and maintaining a service (be it service creation with Instant Micros, being able to build and run services locally with Nebulae, or how we set up our continuous build and deployment infrastructure), with Developer Experience, Continuous Integration, User Interactions teams from Cloud Foundations as well as Platform SRE are all interested in solving for Atlassians. We live and breathe reliability.
The cloud infrastructure team is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to lead our user Experience team. We are planning to bootstrap this team with 6-8 engineers who work on paved roads, unified reliability tools experience & single pane of glass view of reliability before we grow. The team uses a variety of frontend technologies including React & Angular.
People Management and Leadership:
- At least 3 years of experience managing people
- Passion for mentoring and helping people on your team grow and achieve their goals
- Prior experience with recruiting and building a high-performance team
- Able to partner with Product Managers and Designers and find the pragmatic middle ground on cross-functional expectations
- Familiar with agile software development practices
- Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation and quality
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Technical:
- At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience working on web frontends
- At least 2 years of hands-on engineering experience working on SaaS software
- Strong technical knowledge of JavaScript and a popular frontend framework like React or Angular
- Keen eye for frontend architecture and able to assist your team in making the right choices for every project
- Demonstrated passion for product and delivering value to customers
