Right now, we're looking for a new Senior React.js Developer who will join our 7 people team (4 Developers, 2 QA Testers + Leader) which cooperates with one of our clients. They're a global leader technology company that touches nearly every aspect of travel and the industry. Their innovative software enables more than a billion people around the world to plan, book and experience their travel at a time and price that is right for them. They provide technology solutions that drive the global travel industry. It is our people who develop and deliver powerful solutions that meet the current and future needs for our airline, hotel, and travel agency customers. We create mostly new functionalities (80%) in new technologies dedicated for Digital Workspace application for airline agents which enables reservation management, exchange and selling the seats and luggages etc. Really interesting domain and stil stable - despite the covid-19!
Techstack: Front-end (100% of working time), JavaScript, React JS, Redux, Flux-based framework or similar frameworks (AngularJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, Backbone, Vue), HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JSON, TDD, Git. Methodology: Agile/Scrum.
Your tasks will be:
- developing, coding, testing and debugging new moderately complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software,
- working with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them,
- creating optimisation programs and resolving customer issues with software,
- responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements,
- assisting in development of software technical documentation,
- designing and building prototype applications,
- demonstrating full requirements of the functional area, exercises judgment within defined practices to determine appropriate action,
- applying fundamental skills, concepts, practices and procedures to complete moderate to difficult assignments, refers more complex issues to higher levels,
- making decisions and actions that have impact on success of team or department.
It's something for you, if you:
- have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience in working Web UI Technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS, JSON, Mobile and Responsive,
- have proven experience in core UI JavaScript concepts including modular and OO design, asynchronous programming, closures, callbacks, prototypes, promises, etc.,
- have strong experience in React JS, Redux, Flux-based framework or similar frameworks (AngularJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, Backbone, Vue) with a will to develop into React,
- have experience with JavaScript testing frameworks, TDD practices, unit testing, code package and build tools or at least write good quality code and unit tests (50% automation/50% manual tests),
- have experience using source code version control with Git and know Unix/Linux on user or higher level,
- work in Scrum software development framework,
- are proactive and committed to getting things done,
- have very good written and verbal skills in English (min. B2 level).
Nice to haves: being familiar with cloud-based server management and aware of the modern open source software landscape: libraries, frameworks, tools, and uses. We will appreciate also Airline domain knowledge.
