Front End Software Engineer

At GenapSys we are working to power the world of healthcare and diagnostics with advanced DNA sequencing technology. Our sequencing instrument platform leverages a proprietary electrical microfluidic sequencing chip with a scalable number of detectors, enabling a wide range of applications including targeted sequencing in oncology, pharmacogenomics and genome-wide sequencing in microbiology and others. About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer on Cloud (GCP & AWS) to produce scalable software solutions. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a Front End Developer, you should be comfortable around front-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility and be familiar with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in building production level UI and UX for Web applications.
• Experience building enterprise applications utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and connecting to RESTful APIS.
• Experience with Javascript libraries.
• Experience in server-side programming.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design principles.
• Experience with event based asynchronous programming, promises, or observables
• Ability to work both independently and within a highly collaborative team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Bonus points if: 

• Experience with developing responsive design, advanced CSS, architecting apis and databases, or UX/UI libraries like Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.
• Strong understanding in networking.
• Strong exposure of building web apps that work across browsers and devices.
• MySQL or Python experience.
• Angular or React experience.
• Are adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic work environments and shifting demands. 
• Are highly collaborative, team-oriented, and an effective communicator
• Are scrappy, willing to pitch in where needed.
• Have a passion for making a difference in the world
• Have the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
