viagogo is an industry-leading entertainment marketplace dedicated to helping people attend their favorite live events. We are expecting rapid growth after acquiring StubHub.
Our core web team consists of a small, agile team of developers that pride themselves on improving the user experience.
As a Senior Front-end Software Engineer, you'll use tools like React and other modern JavaScript/CSS libraries to build an intuitive, responsive product that serves millions of users across the world.
About You:
- ~ 4+ years in a frontend or fullstack focused engineering role
- Expertise with frontend technologies like JavaScript, React, CSS, and HTML
- Data-driven and excited to analyze user feedback, both positive and negative
- Interested in proposing new techniques and tools to ensure that we stay at the bleeding edge of frontend architecture
- Has a strong sense of ownership – interested in becoming an authority on all things frontend for a website used by millions of users
- Strong collaborator and interest in serving as a mentor for junior employees
- Comfortable with communicating with all levels of employees, including executive leadership

You might work on:
- Highly impactful, technically challenging, and product-oriented projects like reimagining the entire UX while newly leveraging React
- Building out the core library with components that will be used across the organization
- Hypothesizing and running A/B tests and optimize website metrics
- Maintaining and extending multiple internal tools supporting the public facing web app
About Our Technology:
viagogo’s public facing website is built as a multiple page application using plain JavaScript and HTML with LESS, but we are migrating to React with Styled components using Webpack as the module bundler.
