We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Frontend Developer to join the team in our Shoreditch studio. As a company built on a reputation of quality products, with an emphasis on delivery, a growing development team is a core component of this.

You’ll be working alongside an impressive technical team who work across a range of backend, frontend and cloud technologies. You’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional products for our high profile clients and extend our Skylark platform as part of multidisciplinary teams. In addition you'll also be working to define and drive internal standards and push forward innovation with the latest technologies to ensure we are creating the best products possible.

Reports to: Frontend Technical Lead

The Role

• Working on Skylark (our CMS product) and service side projects.
• Building new features for Skylark in collaboration with the CPO, designers, QA engineers, backend developers, frontend developers, and infrastructure engineers.
• Helping with the already ongoing migration on Skylark from AngularJs to React.
• Writing tests as part of the process when writing new features and resolving issues to assure high quality and confidence.
• Configuring an instance of Skylark to bespoke requirements from high profile clients.
• Taking ownership and responsibility of your own work.
• Completing tasks without constant supervision.
• Tracking and forecasting progress of own work. Be able to deliver project updates, positive and negative, and constructively present options.
• Pushing for changes by evolving current systems to become better.
• Working on existing bespoke projects for high profile clients.
• Reviewing critically and creating detailed pull requests.
• Looking beyond frontend and showing interest in the company's wider plans.
• Understands the need to commit and push code into git regularly.
  

Skills and Experience

• 3+ years experience of working on commercial enterprise systems as a frontend developer.
• Solid JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills, understanding the fundamentals and current specifications.
• Experienced with one of the frontend technologies like React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Some experience with unit and UI tests.
• Not intimidated by refactoring code.
• Experienced with using API’s in an efficient manner.
• Take great pride in the quality of anything you and your team have had an involvement in.
• Good social skills.
• Deliver work of high technical standards, user experience, accuracy and completeness.
  

Nice to Have

• Familiar with AngularJs
• Some experience with tools like Webpack and Docker
• Experience with Redux in a larger application
• Experience with media, broadcast or OTT platforms
• An interest in GitHub Actions and continuous integration
