We are looking for a Mobile Developer Intern to join the team in charge of building and scaling our customer-facing web and mobile applications. In this role you will support the development of our mobile offerings businesses use to manage their on-demand staffing needs, making Wonolo indisputably the best customer experience in the category.
The Customer Portal feature team is responsible for all interactions our customers (a.k.a requestors) have with our technology solution. This team owns the web and mobile apps that businesses use to post jobs, manage shifts, rate and pay workers, and monitor the overall performance with Wonolo. This team consists of talented and driven full-stack developers, mobile engineers, a product manager and designer, who have full control of the end to end experience and constantly drive towards improving our customer-based KPIs. This is an exciting position that offers autonomy and teamwork, with clear opportunities for career growth.
This opportunity is open to students interested in 16 month co-ops, with a start time of May 2021.
What you'll do:
- Support the development of our React Native (iOS/Android) or Swift (iOS) applications, used by some of our biggest customers
- Help design and build initiatives to improve user experience
- Work in a scrum team/agile environment with daily standups and sprint planning
Who you are:
- You are a self-starter, who likes working on user-facing projects and making the user experience enjoyable and efficient
- You have experience working with React (preferably React Native)
- You must have a good knowledge of JavaScript / ES6
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Swift
- Experience with unit testing
- Experience with mobile development
