Senior Mobile Developer

�� Who we're looking for
We're looking for a senior developer with experience in developing mobile products, particularly using React Native.
Our product, Bellish, is growing quickly and we're doing a lot of unprecedented work in React Native. The person who will join our team will need to be an out of the box thinker, willing to question what is possible, and be able to communicate very well with our small development team.
We're working on some very exciting things: We will be working towards a standard of knitting pattern writing which will be akin to HTML for web structure. We're also consistently solving problems to have yet to be faced in this space. The person who joins our team will know how to keep the end user at the forefront of their mind because we want to create simple solutions that create beautiful experiences for our users, which is always challenging and rewarding.

�� What you'll do day to day
Bellish is setting out to build the digital infrastructure of the $50B Craft industry. We've started by creating the world's largest database of knitting patterns with our unique Pattern Engine, effectively codifying knitting as a 'language'. We've taken a ~50 hour process by an experienced individual to write a single knitting pattern and reduced it so anyone, with no experience, can create a personalised pattern in minutes.
With our beta product released earlier this year, we've reached 100k users, who have created 200k unique patterns. We've been recognised by Apple as App of the Day for our innovative & interactive approach to Craft.
We are a small, remote (before it was cool) 5 person team leading the way in Craft technology and we're excited to scale our product to reach 1M users in the next 12 months. Bellish has raised $3.3M in seed funding from Australia's leading VCs - Blackbird and Skip Capital.

- Write maintainable, clean, secure code with a focus on shipping features as a team
- Create, update and maintain technical documentation
- Work closely with our two other team members, providing novel solutions to our complex problems
- Provide basic level of strategic advice for the systems design phase of development
- Use CircleCI for CI/CD
- Experience scaling a product to support more than 1 million users
- Experience working in agile and scrum environment
- Proficient in Javascript suite: React Native, React.js, Typescript, and Node.js
- Comfortable using AWS, and dynamoDB
