The Engineering team at Brainly is working on some of the most complex challenges in the ed-tech space: creating communities for students around the world. We focus on building the infrastructure that enables Brainly users to ask and answer millions of questions every day. The systems we build are used across all of Brainly, making us one of the most cross-functional teams at the company.

We are taking over the world, and to do so we are looking for strong engineers that are ready to push boundaries and help us solve large-scale problems with solutions that translate into lasting impact.

We’re looking for a strong Front-end Engineer/Growth Hacker to work with us on optimisation of subscriptions conversion rate and who will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness of our product.

WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE? 

  • Collaborating with the newly formed growth hacking team on ideation and creation of experiments
  • Delivering and managing the experiments
  • Conducting experiments using Google Optimise and other tools
  • Collaborating with other software engineers to design scalable services, planing feature roll-out, and ensuring high reliability and performance of your deliverables
  • Conducting code reviews, contributing high-quality documentation and building robust test suites for your features
  • Mentoring other engineers within the team and cross-functionally based on personal strengths and capabilities

ABOUT YOU (HOW DO WE IMAGINE THE BEST CANDIDATE):

Experience:

  • Required
    • 2-3 years of professional experience as a Front-End engineer (preferably in an e-commerce, digital agencies or SaaS environment)
    • Excellent knowledge of modern JavaScript (ESNext)
    • Experience in React
    • Experience in testing with JavaScript frameworks
    • Experience in Responsive Web Design
    • Great knowledge of modern CSS methodology (i.e. BEM)
    • Experience in CSS Flexbox Layout
    • Knowledge of best practices in Website, JavasScript and Mobile performance and optimization topic
    • Fluency in English
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in applying WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 standard
    • In-depth knowledge of the latest React and its ecosystem
    • Experience with GraphQL
    • Experience in CSS Grid Layout
    • Experience in mobile-first approach in Responsive Web Design
    • Experience in End-to-End testing
    • Knowledge of CSS and Animations performance and optimization
    • Production experience in Service Workers

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Location: Kraków, Poland or remotely
  • Salary: 15 000 - 20 000 PLN gross/month (employment contract)
  • Start date: as soon as possible (however, we’re happy to wait for the right person)
