Lead Front-end Developer

About you:

Talented senior front end engineer, passionate about performant and reliable web applications. Architects stable and scalable code. Finds the right balance between moving fast and minimizing code dept. You love working on a team and developing new talent, but can execute independently too. You have a strong sense of ownership and always strive to make the product better. Writing appropriate tests gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. You know when to look for and implement the correct tool for the job, but can spin up custom code to solve programmatic challenges when nothing else will work. You have good reasons for your choices and can explain them to junior developers. You use process intelligently, in a way that benefits the team and software. Thoughtful, intelligent and kind.

Must have:

● 5+ years experience building professional web applications

● Excellent understanding of SPAs and modern front-end frameworks (ideally React)

●Proficient with web tools like NPM and Webpack

● Excellent ES6 Javascript

● Strong organization skills

● Good knowledge of the software development lifecycle

● Talent for mentoring and guiding other developers

● Design and implementation of best practices

● Experience with JIRA or other project tracking software

● Agile development

● Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

● Collaborates seamlessly with other divisions outside software

Nice to have:

● Redux

● CSS preprocessors

● RESTful APIs

● Cloud environments (we use Azure)

● Experience working with product managers and QA engineers
