Front End Developer

Wolt is looking for a Front End Developer to join our Web team. The Web team is responsible for crafting wolt.com, the public facing website for Wolt. The web client enables the customer to discover and order great food, just like the native iOS and Android clients, but it also has unique capabilities and challenges related to the web platform: it needs to rank high in search results, marketers and users link to its pages and everything should work smoothly on different browsers and devices. And even though we have native mobile clients, a large part of our web traffic comes from phones and tablets, so touch interactions, accessibility and responsive design are part of our daily work. For many people wolt.com is the first time they bump into us - so we want the first-time user experience to be a memorable one in the positive sense. 

Our Web team consists of five developers, one team lead and one designer. We are currently building new cool features that require undivided front end attention, as we are expanding Wolt towards new exciting markets with the same high quality user experience that our customers expect from us.  

As far as the stack is concerned, you'll get along fine if you've been working with React and TypeScript. The application is a modern SPA with a small Node server doing mostly server side rendering. If you can do your own little fixes on the back end side in Python as well, that'd be an added bonus. You will be working with a designer, but if you have a keen eye for the beautiful things, it's all for the better.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options.
