As a Frontend engineer you will work with our digital media team to deliver dynamic user interfaces and drive development of new user experiences for coindesk.com. You will ship reusable components, editorial features, visualizations, and data driven experiences.
Our Frontend / UI is primarily developed with JavaScript (React, Redux), HTML, CSS, Webpack, and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Write highly maintainable, well documented, quality code that adheres to best practices
Implementation of designs in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
Close collaboration with platform engineers and product owners to build interactive, large scale web applications.
Fostering a positive and collaborative work culture with talented colleagues.
Required skills and experience include:
4+ years of professional development experience.
Exceptional knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling (React, D3.js, and Highcharts are a plus)
Experience with NPM and webpack.
4+ years of frontend development (React, Angular, etc.)
2+ year of experience with Node.js
2+ years of experience with backend technology (Node, Python, etc. ), this is not a backend role, but you should be extremely comfortable with APIs and data driven interfaces.

PHP (Light CMS dependencies)
Postgres, Redis, Mysql
Hosting and deployment on AWS
Docker
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline (computer science, electrical engineering)
Experience with Database architecture, ETL pipelines, A strong understanding of the blockchain ecosystem
