React Web Application Developer

Our client is a startup-business based in Sydney that runs a platform offering a range of online events, that are game-driven. They are seeking a remote/home-based React Web App Developer to be a part of their growing team.

Successful candidate's duties will include:

• Daily standup
• Collaborating closely with the Chief Technical Officer
• Designing social games to work on any browser environment (web or mobile) with a responsive design and simple UI. These games do not require game controllers or advanced gaming setups, they are simple browser based games.
• Designing games that can handle large numbers of concurrent players (e.g., a bingo game with 500 players)
• Designing architecture that can handle real-time updates for games with many players
• Designing architecture that can handle hundreds or thousands of concurrent games being run
• Working closely with Game Designers to ensure that the games we build are fun, intuitive, and inclusive for players of all age and demographics.

• At least 3 years of experience in development using React
• Must have experience with ReduxToolkit
• Strong Javascript skills
• Strong familiarity with Firebase
• API integration development experience
• UI/UX experience desirable
• Excellent communication skills to interact, brainstorm and convey original ideas
• Attention to detail
• A "can-do" attitude to everything you do
• Excellent working PC/Laptop
• Reliable wired internet connection (speed should be at least 10Mbps for download and 5Mbps for upload
