Located in the stunning Bonding Warehouse, a listed building overlooking the River Ouse, you are within walking distance to York City Centre, you are set up to not only do great work but be in an environment that is inspiring.

This opportunity can be office located or remote/WFH (Travel to the Anaplan office one day per week).

What you’ll be doing:

Working as a Senior Software Engineer as part of a small team, using engineering best practices to build a platform of tools, portals, and frameworks for the Engineering organisation
Collaborating with other engineering teams to understand their processes and pain-points
Ensuring our products are built to a high level of quality by supporting the adoption of best practices within your team
Assisting other engineering teams in the adoption of our tools and practices
Proactively writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to maintain production-level code
Being involved in discussions about your team’s technology choices and future roadmap
Supporting your team’s ability to self-manage and improve, particularly through the use of Agile practices
Bringing existing quality engineering skills in the stack from container to front-end, while learning new skills and technologies as necessary
Owning and operating the systems we build
Working on an exciting product which will change the way in which the world’s largest enterprises do their planning
Will include some ‘research’ and exploration to prove out new ideas before implementation.

You have a genuine passion for coding and building engineering ecosystems, you’re pragmatic, agile, innovative, and have a respect for the development process and a firm desire get stuff done by keeping things simple. You thrive in an environment that deeply values collaboration, feedback, and learning.

Skills we need:

Someone who is super passionate about front end development and design.
Has a solid knowledge of HTML5/CSS /JavaScript.
Strong knowledge of and familiarity with JavaScript features.
Is confident using React and new features of the framework.
Proven professional knowledge of Typescript would be advantageous.
Proven Front End development understanding yet comfortable working with Java or similar.

Languages and frameworks you’ll work with:

JavaScript/HTML/CSS
React, Typescript, Redux, Jest, Enzyme, Cypress
Java, Spring frameworks, JVM, Kotlin
Container-orchestrations tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
