The Opportunity
The Front End Developer is responsible for producing and implementing functional software solutions and design thought that aligns with the client needs and business goals. The goal of the Front End Developer is solely focused on what you can produce. We’re looking for high quality perfectionist “doer” that can take ideas and collaboratively and iteratively translate them into real interfaces.
What you'll be doing
- Design, program, diagnose, fix and test software before they handoff to QA.
- Peer review other team members’ code, and learn and adapt from peer review of your own code
- Author and maintain relevant documentation for developers, clients and users
- Develop and refine prototypes to confirm requirements
- Help lead release and post-release activities, such as support, versioning and maintenance
- Collaborate heavily with our designers to create interfaces
What You'll Bring
- Experience:
- 7+ years delivering high quality products
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies
- Key Competencies and Skills:
- Deep Empathy with the many different types of users who use Symend UIs
- Must have approximately one year of React experience, and an interest and passion in building UIs with modern tools like ES6, TypeScript, PostCSS and Webpack.
- An ability to think through customer requirements to come up with high-impact ways of quickly solving their problems.
- A passion about performance, accessibility, and API design.
- A high bar for the quality of code and quality of user experience.
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Highly Collaborative and a ability to work with other technical and non-technical team members vetting designs
- Key Measures of Success
- Analyzing system requirements and prioritizing tasks
- Writing clean, testable front end client code using React programming language
- Developing technical specifications and architecture
All positions require background screening. This will include criminal and education checks to comply with regulations.
