Front End Developer

Who are we? 

We’re Safe & The City on the mission to become the world’s most responsible data provider, enabling the design of safer & smarter spaces. We are a free app operating in London and Berlin and rolling out our B2B product to scale our safety solutions to  further to make a difference for both consumers and businesses 

Your Role 

We are looking for someone who is passionate, interested in something new and eager for an opportunity to learn and see what a difference you can make to a small but growing team. 

We’re looking for someone who is interested in creating a user-friendly environment by writing code and is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design. This will help the Executive and technical team with strategic operations and decisions in the months ahead. Our award-winning team will help coach you along the way and bring you into our agile, innovative and effective ways of working.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Build maintainable and intuitive HTML, CSS and React pages.
• Implement accessibility standards.
• Implement best practices on web performance.
• Independently manage your tasks, and ensure the aims and quality standards are met.
• Provide documentation and handover materials.
• Ability to be available for remote stand-ups to provide updates of your progress.

Job Requirements: 

• Experienced front-end developer 3-5 years
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, technical and programming skills
• Good interpersonal communication and commitment to your word
• Ability to make well-considered decisions using better judgment
• Excellent time management
