Front-end Developer

What are you going to do?

SpotOn is a startup company created through innovation at Triple. The focus at SpotOn is to make the best (live) video clipping, editing and publishing tool there is. Praised for the speed and easy to understand User Interface, SpotOn is used by most Dutch TV and radio broadcasters these days. As our new Front-end developer, you will work within the startup company. We are a dynamic and close-knit team where ownership, flexibility and creativity are highly appreciated and encouraged.

You will work together with the head of innovation, designer, back-end developer, full stack developer, streaming engineer and product owner. We expect that you will spend most hours making the best front-end solutions for our product. We work in React, so it’s a plus if you have extensive experience with this framework. If you have a lot of experience with Vue or Angular, we understand that switching to React is a walk in the park for you. 

Who are we looking for?

With your work experience we expect you to have a vision and opinion about new techniques, technologies or improvements to existing solutions. As a person you are open to discussion and change when new ideas are brought up.

To make sure you keep developing yourself, we want you to keep a close connection with the front-end developers from Triple. Every week, the web team organizes  DonderDev, a weekly recurring session during which we discuss and present new techniques to each other. We genuinely believe personal development is the key to innovation. The digital landscape is evolving in a rapid pace, that’s why we want you to keep learning new techniques, take courses and attend conference. 

What do you bring with you?

• Bachelor's degree working and thinking level;
• Relevant working experience as a (medior-) web developer;
• React;
• Redux;
• ES6;
• HTML5 + CSS (+SASS).

Nice to have

• Node.JS;
• Unit Testing (Jest, React - testing library);
• (Streaming) Video (editing).
