About the Opportunity
We have an opportunity available for a Front End Developer to join our Melbourne team. Our Software Engineers are responsible for developing software in support of both external and internal projects. We operate in a fast-paced and constantly changing industry where development and maintenance of effective software is key to the ongoing success and future growth of the business. You will work closely with our internal design team as well as back end engineers to deliver our customers the best user experience. This is a perfect role for a Developer who thrives in a dynamic environment where they are working with current technology and where their work matters and is appreciated.
What you’ll be doing
. New web development using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript MVC technologies
. Work in a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Designers, Backend and DevOps engineers within the Consumer Experience domain
. Ensure that story estimates and code reviews are completed in a timely manner
. Foster use of the Agile methodology of Software Development
. Peer review design decisions, code, automated tests, and documentation
. Participate in the ongoing design and architecture of our evolving payments platform
. Collaborate with product owners to build efficient and reliable feature implementations that will delight our customers
About You
. Extensive front end development experience using HTML5, CSS3, Object-Oriented JavaScript with strong UX/UI principles including responsive web design
. Hands-on experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks; Angular, React or Vue preferred
. Ability to produce well-structured HTML utilising efficient CSSA solid understanding of the latest web technologies
. Solid understanding of how to build testable, decoupled, maintainable code and other engineering best practices
. Understanding of integration technologies: RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and Structured Logging
. Experience with version control, preferably Git
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Willingness to learn and apply new methodologies as required
