React Native Developer

Our core product, PlayerDex, has quickly become the leading app and platform for youth football players, coaches and academies in Greece & Cyprus. Our focus has been on building excellent user experiences, resulting in modernising, organising and supporting football academies via our platform/app.

More than 2 years of development and testing make us feel confident that PlayerDex is fully functioning and fills the day-to-day needs of a football academy. Our next ambitious goal is to become the exclusive provider of football data intelligence for all teams-members of entire football associations.

The position

As part of a fast growing football platform, we have many exciting challenges in scaling our infrastructure and building new features for our users. We’re looking for a talented, hardworking and fun teammate to join our team being responsible for building and implementing appealing interactive components and effective user interfaces for PlayerDex so that our users can easily interact with.

What you’ll be doing

• Work with React Native to maintain and extend PlayerDex

• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-performance code, building new or optimising existing visual application components.
• Integrate third-party API's.
• Bring your own ideas implementing clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions to provide an excellent user experience.
• Release applications to iOS and Google Play stores.
• Work with modern tools including AWS, Git, Jira, Slack, Google Docs, etc.

• Degree in Computer Science, equivalent subject or demonstrable experience on the field
• Good understanding of vanilla javascript
• 2+ years of professional experience working with React / React Native.
• Knowledge of at least one state management library ( e.g redux )

Things we'll notice

• Good knowledge of English.
• Web knowledge of frameworks and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React).
• Familiarity with Java-based back-end languages and frameworks is a plus.
