Javascript Engineer (Remote Ok)

**What is VEED.IO?**

Me (Tim) and my

co-founder Sabba started VEED, an online video editing app just over a year ago. Since then we have grown much faster than we expected, about 40% every month! Thousands of influencers, brands, schools, artists, and podcasters create content on our platform every day. Hey, you might even know some of them :) We are a bootstrapped company (NO VC's) and have always been public about our revenue, growth and failure. 

**We are looking for**

VEED is looking for a Javascript Engineer.

Building an online video editor is hard work, therefore you have to be someone who loves learning new things and can also take on a good technical challenge (they are many). Our team is small, very talented, yet we move incredibly fast. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, write clean code and who is up for helping us scale VEED from 100,000 monthly users to millions! There is a lot of work to do, but we think it is super fun and we are having a great time doing it!

We also know that not everyone fits into boxes and we are all always learning. However, here are a few things we are looking for.  

1. Someone who is experienced in ReactJS and has a strong knowledge of JS fundamentals.

2. We care about how we write our code. So we are looking for someone who is comfortable going through code reviews, knows or would like to learn about testing their code and make it more performant.

3. A team player how is happy to lend a hand if someone gets stuck.

4. Someone who can roll up their sleeves and jump on different things. Building a simple online video editor isn’t always so simple, so you might work on WebGL, API, DevOps or Architecture stuff. You dont need to know it all, but someone who will is not scared of a challenge. 

**What will you be doing?**

You will be primarily be working in ReactJS on the frontend, and with Node on the API side, to help us deliver more video / account features to our customers. As an early-stage startup we are not extremely overbuilt and have a lot of greenfield space to explore and test new ideas.

We are open to new ideas, Is graphQL something we want to consider? Or maybe something needs automating? Kubernetes? A new pattern we should adopt? Tell us more!
